Mindful body practice – Greta – Luxembourg

Since 2011, I have been cultivating a personal path that weaves together dance and Vipassana meditation, integrating movement, presence, and awareness.

The first began as a joyful and pleasant body practice that has gradually evolved into a deeper language of expression rooted in listening to the body and allowing emotional release.

Vipassana meditation, as taught by Goenkaji, works in a complementary and almost opposite way: the body remains still while the mind exercice. This stillness supports a state of deep inner attention and, over time, the gradual release of sankharas.

What to expect & what to bring

This workshop invites participants to experience how movement and stillness can nourish and support each other.

We will begin with a soft awakening of the body, practiced with closed eyes and guided by simple, fluid movements. The intention is not performance, but presence—allowing the body to become a gateway to inner stillness.

The second part of the workshop will be dedicated to a long Anapana meditation, a foundational practice of the Vipassana tradition that focuses on awareness of the natural breath. By observing the breath as it is, participants train the mind to become calm, attentive, and rooted in the present moment.

You are welcome to sit in the way that feels most comfortable for you—on the floor, on a cushion, a meditation bench, or a chair. Please bring warm clothes, as the body may cool down during the meditation.

A final note: if you plan to attend this class, please make sure to enter the room before the meditation begins, as late entry can disturb the shared field of stillness.
