A workshop for exploring your voice and connecting more deeply with your sound through meditation, vocal dynamics, and movement.

Your voice is the instrument of your soul, and your body is the temple in which it resides. Your voice expresses all our emotions, thoughts, ideas, and entire being.

In this workshop, Nicole Heffels invites us to explore and open our voices and dive into our instrument with embodiment and vocal practices that allow us to discover our breath and sound. Singing from the heart and getting new perspectives about our voices helps us be aware that we all have beautiful sounds.

We will experience different practices of body movement, improvisation, vocal dynamics and vocal techniques, and sing songs in the community. Using our voice to enter a meditative state is also a part of this workshop, allowing us to expand our self-perception and find a deeper connection to our sense of agency and ultimately, to ourselves.

Nicole Heffels is a German singer, composer, vocal coach and music teacher who has lived in Peru for over 8 years.

She has led singing and sound meditations, accompanying sound healing ceremonies and leading a variety of singing workshops.

Besides her music studies her curiosity about voice has also led her to investigate an intuitive-emotional side of the voice, for example through meditation and mindfulness, body work/movement and singing through energy centers.

The Art of Voice ranges from reconnecting with one‘s  own voice, the fusion of the voice with meditation/mindfulness, the voice as a healing channel, to the exploring of different vocal techniques and the pure pleasure of singing in a group and enjoying a healing sound experience in the community.

Nicole Heffels studied music pedagogy with a specialty in piano and singing in Germany (Musik Hochschule München.) She became certified in the international sound therapy training with Nada Shakti, Brazil. In 2021 and 2023, she trained as a Vocal Coach in the Estill Voice methodology.

Her music has taken her to various parts of the world (Europe, South- and Central  America and Asia.) This includes the largest circus in Peru (LA TARUMBA 2016) and South Korea (International Circus and Theater Festival 2018). In 2022 she recorded her EP READY which can be found on Spotify.
