From Hatha to Nidra

From Hatha to Nidra

Open to all levels of practice and abilities.

In the first part of this class, you’ll experience a gentle Hatha practice that connects breath and movements, linking every movement to inhalations and exhalations in flowing dynamic sequences. You will smoothly transition from pose to pose, while building strength, endurance and flexibility. A great importance is given to meditation and breathing exercices (Pranayama).

In the second part, you’ll be guided through a yoga nidra sequence, also known as yogic sleep. During yoga nidra, you move into the state of conscious deep sleep. Your mind is actually awake in a state between being asleep and awake. That's why yoga nidra is so restorative for the body. You’ll dive into a totally relaxed and blissful state and will feel energized and destressed.

About Sabine

After having worked as a kindergarten teacher for 24 years, Sabine travelled to India in 2017 to train as a yoga teacher with a specialization in hatha and yin yoga. Back in Europe, she completed a training in nidra and yoga for kids. In her classes for adults, kids and teens she creates her own free yoga style that focuses on breathing, movement and meditation.

“We don’t use our body to come into the pose, we use the pose to come into our body” is one of Sabines guidelines that she wants to transmit to her students (quote from Bernie Clark, one of the Yin Yoga founders).
